I'm looking for a used fixed power european scope for my drilling. Is anyone aware of a reliable website that specializes in such? There used to be a company some years ago that advertised such scopes in gun digest years ago. I can't seem to find anything.

Just curious. Why don't you look at a good Leo or Zeiss for your drilling. Is there something special about a drilling scope? I just don't know.

I really want a fixed power european scope. they don't seem to be making them anymore. The only fixed power I can really find anymore is one of the leopold models. I'll probably settle for the leopold but I was really after one of the old european models. It was just a thought.

I have seen them at gun shows. I`ve even seen some with Jager mounts on them.

Well, not to worry boys. I just found an outfit that's selling kahles fixed power scopes. Now all I have to do is sell my firstborn in order to be able to afford one.

Many are out there but if you have a claw mount with the rings check the size of the rings..They go from 26 mm and up..especially the older claw mounts.. And if ya find an old Zeiss or whichever brand..it'll probably be very expensive anyway..and may need to be worked on..Many are 80 yrs old..or near to it.. The Zeiss on my Pre War Oberndorf Mauser is from 1932 or 33. . Pretty gun..but probably going to leave here..Hard to find bullets for an 8x51 318 bore..and it's just not the most..useable.... caliber anyway. Cases I have or can make.. Bullets are very limited in scope.. I have shot the darn thing a little. Surprising how close to zero the scope is after taking off and putting back on.. Those ol guys knew how to make stuff.
Dutchman, if the Zeiss Conquest is European enough for you, they have a fixed 4X in their line.

Skeet, Have you ever tried Leadhead Bullets? I think they make a .318 bullet that is hard cast and gas checked. I have pushed their .411 bullets to around 2,600 fps. with excellant accuracy and no leading. The bullets are far from cheap, but they are of the highest quality, at least what I got was.

Actually never have used their bullets..but I have heard ofg them. They've been around a while IIRC. I just have too many rifles and shotguns anyway..I'm even gonna sell some of my 1100s...which is almost blasphemy

I'm in pretty good shape. Mine's a like new 20 year old drilling in 12 ga and 30-06. As far as the mounts are concerned there is new england arms that can install the mounts for any scope I can find. I just have to find some. Fortunately, thanks to some of you and my own looking I can find some european fixed power scopes.
