ebay is a good thing some times the wife got me 2 books in cases called the the journals of lewis and clark the cover are a little ruff but the books are in great shape the books are dated 1962 by George macy companies.
I have read a few books about them and have loved them all it is a shame there is not more I tend to get what i can when i can becouse every thing seems to be hard cover and top doller.
The real shame is you never hear much about york and he never gets any credit many of the tribes would have let them die if it had not been for the fact they never seen a black man.
Undaunted courage was a good book and went into to some of it.

I read Undaunted Courage and was impressed with the story. True, York did not get very much press. The Corp of Discovery took an Indian woman as further proof of their peaceful intent because women usually did not go on war parties. The real shame was that Old Toby gets even less credit for saving the expedition when he guided them over the Bitterroot Mountains. All the best...
