Need an IR Cel Trans Camera

Last week I had my barn and travel trailer broken into at the farm.

Decided to install IR cameras that transmit the pictures off site. Any of you guys have any good experiance with these cameras? If so which cameras?

I have been looking at the Moultrie 165 with transmitter but I understand in reading the reviews that the camera makes an audiable click when the shutter opens and again when it closes. That tells the crook where the camera is and that their picture has been taken. Which defeats the entire purpose. Unless I missed something.

If it clicks and transmitts immediately you got them. If it holds it for a while yes its a waist.

I have a grandson that shall we say borrows my Jeep. I put a couple of dummy camera's in the driveway and front door of the house in plain site. Problem solved.

I considered the exposed dummy cameras and even a warning sign but... If the thief sees the camera, all they need to do is throw on a mask and you have a 8x10 of persons unknown. The only way to catch them is a good clear picture or set of pictures.

I would love to simply have the perps go away, but failing that I want to catch the SOBs. It is the old catch 34, just like a super padlock on the gate, they just cut the fence.

I spent many years in security as a bond special agent for an insurance group. I required a super market to get a UL class E tool proof safe one time due to burglaries. The perps returned, blew it up and dropped the poured, reinforced concrete roof of the entire super market in the process. The owner was not happy. He still had a perfectly good safe and no business the next day. One of my success stories. :rolleyes:

But, then there was the Supermarket where the thieves used 2,000 lbs of self-rising flower and sugar bags to brace off the dynamite class E safe shot. The dynamite detonated without blowing the safe, started a fire, the sprinkler system went off and the fire department showed up. Lord what a mess they made of the place, spraying water everywhere. We had Supermarket Cake, baked inside a supermarket shell, stuffed with groceries......:rolleyes:

I worked that job for 7 years covering ME, NH and VT, during the time of the French terrorists/separatists in Canada. They gave us fits along the border.
