NWTF Problems

Was an active member for years, on the local comm. too. Quit when the State of Wis. Chapter got into areas that had nothing to do with turkeys, such as deer hunting, DNR appointing Authority etc. When it comes to appointing the Sec. of the DNR they think that the Govenor is better qualified than the Natural Resources, anyway I degress. In Feb. of this year I rejoined and went to the local banquet. In June I received a membership card saying that my membership was good til May, 2011, but have never received a magazine yet. Neither has my son who went to the banquet with me. I know they do great work, but our state chapter in my opinion is not productive to the resources. National org. saving money by not sending mag. I know how I'll save money come the next banquet. Oh yes, e mails have produce nothing.

I think you need to run for a office in your local or find a new org that will meet your needs.

Already held office in local chapter, not the state and I'm just going to concentrate on other natural resource issues. Too bad because they have done good work in Wisconsin, but will stick with my waterfowl and wetland issues.

Hey, I got a magazine last Mon. things might look up. My mother used to say "Cheer up things could be worse", sure as heck I cheered up and things got worse.
