Okay I abused the credit card yesterday, for the last time (I promise.......kinda), and got the CVA Wolf 209.

Took me 3 shots to get it in the center of a 50 yard target, and then three more to get dead center at 100 yards! Woo-Hoo!

I used some Thompson Center 200 grain sabots, with 100 grains of IMR White Hots.

Like a bone head, I packed my scopes, they are in Kentucky, waiting for me, so I got the cheapest scope Academy had, a $30 4x Simmons (yeah, I know), but for now it works.

This is an awesome beginners muzzle loader. The hand removable breech plug made it easy to swab the barrel between shots. And you really don't need a primer tool to put in the 209's.

I am ready for Kentucky deer, bear, elk, hogs, ect., ect..........:)

My brother has a CVA Wolf also. Mine (shown above) is the CVA Optima. The goofy stock shape is really quite comfortable, sort of like a thumbhole configuration.

I shoot 270 grain Speer (.429 revolver bullet) from Crusher sabot cup with devastating results every time.

Good hunting to you.
