A fellow brought his Super Bladk Eagle to me and said it wasn't firing everytime he pulled the trigger. I disassembled the gun and pulled the trigger group from the frame. I disassembled the trigger group for a good cleaning but didn't find any problems. I disassembled the bolt assembly and gave it a good cleaning and didn't find any problems. I reassembled the gun and took it out for test firing. It didn't fire each time. The hammer cocked correctly but fell very lightly (watching it through the slot for the operating handle). No reason, the spring was just fine when I checked it. The shells that were in the chamber when it refused don't have any mark on the primer. I am sittin here, scratching my head. Any one have a clue?

i am not familure with this gun but it sounds like your fireing pin is hanging up or it has grease in the bolt

Larry,
I got rid of my Benellis so can not get one out and look at it. I am always amazed that Benelli and Beretta are made by the same company. You know what I mean, I am sure.
Take the trigger group out and function the firing process, cocking the hammer, with the trigger pulled, then releasing the trigger. My money is on a badly done trigger job that has gotten the timing messed up. If the timing is close, but not right, it will fire and not fire, with no aparent reason. Look closely at the disconnect.
The lack of any firing pin strike means you hammer is not going forward 100% of the time, if the bolt is clean and nothing is bent or broken.

I'm not familiar with this gun, so, I'm speaking generically.
If the hammer has some left/right play, it may hang up when it's off to one side or another. A shim on either side of the hammer may keep it centered so that it does not hang up on something, and drops all the way.
I've seen that on another gun, so, it might be something to look for.
