Due to recent events, I need to find a way to carry concealed, but not on my person. Has anyone ever used items such as the fanny packs, day planners, ect for concealed carry?
Thanks in advance...........

I have carried in a fanny pack and that worked well. I have also carried in the bag with my laptop computer. Two weeks ago I carried in a travel bag. So it depends. Take care...

Mr. 16 gauge,

I am curious; you need to carry CCW, but "not on your person?" I would think a fanny pack would be on your person. I have used a fanny pack to carry a 2-inch M10 Smith. I also had a hollowed out book for the same gun when I worked the projects.

Also keep in mind most ccw laws require you to be in control of you gun at all times. If it is not on your person are you in control of it? Locked in a car counts in Texas but I don't know about elsewhere.

O.K., let me clarify a bit.....I need a firearm "with me", but not "on me". Michigan law also allows a firearm in a locked car, but as you stated, it's not under your control and there have been a lot of break ins. Also, I need the gun going to and from my vehicle....it does me no good locked inside. A sidearm on me would be seen while changing, hence the need to keep it somewhere else.
Does that clear things up a little bit? Also, the gun would be in very close proximity to me (but not 'on' me) at all times.

fanny pack. i would rather not carry! kidding of course (not really) at some point that gun will not be with you if it isnt on you. it will only take one scare of going to the bathroom while you dont have your case with you for you to realize it needs to be on you. another thing... a big part of ccw is the element of suprise.. how much do you have if gun is in a brief case? but on the real, a fanny pack screams one of two things. one is concealed carry. maybe if carrying a mini. try one of those holsters that resembles a cell phone shell.
