View Full Version : more N.E trips in my future
have tenatively been "assigned" the N.E region as my general are of travel for a while.
Have a trip planned 11/1 through 11/13 through ON, up to Rockport ME for a conference, then down through VT, NY,DC and VA on the return trip
Looks like I'll have to start searching for some easterly hunt opportunities instead of looking westward for a while
Suggestions, destinations, routes, dont-miss-this place, warnings, all appreciated from those locals in the know !

FIJI-Rockport is a nice place however you missing the best part of the year. Maine Deer season is on in Nov and there a some nice bucks in ME however there is a lot of space to hunt them. The herd in NH and ME have taken a beating the last couple of years and the population is way down. If you are here in Sept a Black Bear hunt might be in order. Upland is really down right now. Southern NE has a lot more game than the North Country.
Spring and summer offers some awesome salt water fishing.
Like I said before, if you are ever near Boston give me a shout and drinks are on me.
might be a possibility. My itinerary tends to change daily

a detour put me in Boston tonight. (Peabody, actually)
have a few hours to spare before I have to be at my destination in Maine tomorrow so...might just check out the area here in the morning before I head north. Then have stops in NH and CT before I work my way down to DC/MD
buckhunter ---- you have mail

Yes there is a lot of NY that is pretty wild and wooly. Not sure but believe the whitetail harvest is around 150K or so. Some big bucks are coming out of there.
2" of rain in Maine ! akkkkkkkkkkkkk
followed me all the way down and back over to Concord, NH today. Looks like it'll be with me in VT tomorrow and will prolly follow down to DC too
FAIR WARNING to all in my path !!
haven't been here since shortly after 9-11.
Spent the morning on the Metro (don't know how ppl DO THIS every day)
Ive seen LOTS of bad drivers in my day, especially around DC, NY, Chicago
Worst yet was the guy this morning who tried to take my front bumper off while zipping from the FAR left lane across 4 lanes to the exit I was going by.
As he blurred past I saw a "Diplomat" license plate !!!
Bet they dont even HAVE cars back wherever this idiot comes from
couple more stops here and I start back via Pittsburg and Ohio
