Chiappa 1911-22. I bought one of these guns and of course took it apart and cleaned the excess oil off it. The gun came apart nicely and I didn’t pay much attention to it. I think I paid < $200 for it and it shot great for <$200. After ~ 200 to 300 round the trigger seemed a little crappy but not bad. Later in the week I thought what the heck I will work on that trigger. Holy Crapola ! The front bushing did not want to turn and when it did it did not want to come apart. It took a lot of force to get the gun apart. I thought it was just dirty but further inspection proved that the front bushing was mushrooming. The gun did not want to go together. I had to take my Dremel to it to fix the fit problem. Further inspection of the trigger mechanism proved that it was not a good candidate for any trigger work. I found the trigger assembly most closely resembled a Chinese carnival gun or cap-gun. I shot the gun another 200-300 rounds and the problem repeated . I inspected all the surfaces and slide and WOW this thing is approaching end of life beyond the bushing problem. Getting them to fix or replace this gun is not the answer, I would just have fixed or replaced junk. I don’t think I would let my grandkids shoot this gun. I cut it up with a band saw and threw it in the trash.

Although this thing seems to shoot great, it has the poorest metal of any P.O.S. I have ever touched (OK the Jennings 25 cal was worse). LOL

Have handled a couple of them, but that's it. Guess I'll just keep my RI frame with a Ciener Platnium 22 conversion. I do love shooting 22s on 1911 frames. I see Browning now has one out too, haven't heard any reports on it yet though. Sorry to hear about the lack of quality of yours.
