A few days early. Ole goat drew private land cow. Seasons are unbelieveable in this area.....Sep1/Jan 31....simply a meat hunt. Plenty of time to wait for cold weather n stuff frreezer!

We drew private land cow for NW Colorado again too. We usually go around Thanksgiving time and hope for snow.

LOL, Trapper...as I like to hang my elk before cut n wrap.....I assure you it will be late Octber before I even attempt to hunt!:cool:

The ranch we hunt on usually we can get help from the rancher or get close enough with a truck to load the cow into the truck. From there we take them directly to a locker plant in Craig. So, when we go back home the meat is cut up and packaged. When we get home, we just put it in the freezer.

LOL, this place is only 12 mi from my garage...besides, I kill em/gut em/ hang em n cut n wrap.This way, I get it done the way I want! FIJI, type of place this is requires a LOT of glassing..only water n 5 miles...lol.
