Now this is a vid of some serious hog eradication. I like this guys method much better than the TV shows which are Hollywood versions of hog hunting, just BS. This guy in TX has some serious hog problems, just like us here in FL.:D

He is using a Styer Aug trapped over his leg with a bright day laser and does some fancy work.

You sound like me and the invite I received to attend the rotary wing pilots daytime ball at Rucker. Those Hueys were just to slow and the aluminum to thin for my taste. A Chicom 12.7mm would make a mess outa one in a NY second. No thanks, my laundry is still in the washer.

But as long as Mr. pilot keeps that little bubble front job in the air we be good to hunt piggies.

Ask me to tell you what a 12.7 does to a Helio Courier one day. ...and the guy in tween the bottom and top of it..not me luckily..the 7.62s were bad 'nuff on me.. I'd like to try that hog shootin though. I got to go up in a fixed wing shooting coyotes out here..neat..gotta shoot behind of 'em..as they would say on the Eastern Shore of Md. That guy has a few hogs on that place. As good as he was doing..I think if'n I was a neighbor..I'd wanta hire him for a day or two.. I did get an invite to learn that rotary stuff. Tried a couple hours and told 'em..never mind.. I woulda liked the multi engines..if'n they didn't make me fly them Flyin Boxcars....They had bigger and much much better.

Yep, know about the 12.7 and the captured 50s also. There wasn't anything on a standard bird to stop a round, end to end or side to side and an M-60 was out distanced by double. Exactly why I did not hold up my hand, I was young and dumb, but not that dumb. Had too many buddies that went to school and others who were machinegunners who volunteered as chopper door gunners. Story was all the same, a flying target with no where to hide, like the Spanish sargent that stans atop the rock and yells; "shoot me."

Seems like the folks all round would co-op the deal and get some real wide spread eradication going, plus get the willing to pay the freight for the exercise. Same a dove shooting in Argentina, you have a pest by the millions so you charge shooters to shoot them, shooters that are willing and able to foot the bills.
