Supposed to get nasty here tonight, thanks for leaving the door open.:( Doubt we will see much snow though.:D
Went to the farm on Sunday, rain gauge had 5 inches of water in it since prior weekend. This stuff coming is supposed to be a bit of rain but that pesky purple/red severe storm warning painted all over us, I do not like, at all, especially the land torpedoes projected to be in the mess.

Well the wind has died off pretty well here but de snow do be fallin. Hard at times too. It is amazing..where I live you can watch the snow falling on the mountain..and not get anything at home.. But today the snow is backed up on the mountain and has spread down to us.. It is time though..most of the snow that falls on the mountains falls from now through May(till July 5th last year)..and we need the snow for our summer irrigation water.. It has been a warm dry winter so far here.. at least down in the Bighorn Basin..

Down on the south end of the state (Wyoming) we are behind on mountain snowpack in most places.
Another month or so to go but it doesn't look like we can hope for much more than a normal pack. Last year was great.

I know how you feel, we have gotten more rain in the last two months than the last two years just about. But my lower pond at the farm is still less than half full. Many a farm in the area has had their drinking water well stop flowing for the first time in memory. It has been powerful dry. All of our nut trees and blue berry bushes did not produce this past year, it was thin pickings for the critters. Even the squirrels disappeared from our pecan trees, the nuts came but were all empty. The almanac says another dry summer coming for us, sure hope they are wrong.
