So where do you find recipes for non-fancy shot shells? Ie I have mostly old field load shells these days, with a few buckshot and slug hulls lying around. All I find for recipes is for AA and STS hulls.

I refer to the Lyman Shotshell Manual and they have a lot of good information. Hope this helps. All the best...

GOB,
Try these guys, they have just about all the books available, plus the supplies to go with them. In their catalog the pages are 140 to 144 just for the reloading books:
www.precisionreloading.com
Here is another reloading site for shot shells which is free:

popplecop,
That was nice of you to send a Lee Load All to GOB. I got a Load All in 12 gauge in a swap last January-I love the machine and it works as good as my old MEC 12 gauge reloader.

GOB:
You can also use google books to read online about reloading shotshells and recipes, the books are either for purchase or (some) available as a free download to view if you have a pdf reader. http://www.google.com/search?q=shotgun+reloading&btnG=Search+Books&tbm=bks&tbo=1

GOB..tell me what powders you mhave and what loads you want to make. I have MUCH 20 ga loading data BTW..again..use plastic wads. So much better loads and better ballistics

Skeet, looks like I am lower than I remembered. No shot shell powder left to speak of (mostly trail boss, unique, and hp-38) a few primers and around 5lbs of #6 shot, maybe a quarter pound of #8, and a pound of #14 (for snake shot loads). Looks like I had burned up more than I remembered back when I was loading 12 gauge (which somebody else needed the old 12 gauge loader a lot more than I did so it has already been passed on to a good home). No wads except paper and fiber that were given to me. All my shells I find for 20 gauge offhand are from Remington field loads. I know I have others packed away somewhere.
So yeah, think I must have gave away some components or they grew legs.

Let me know what you think of it. When looking for that one I found one for 12 ga. Might have to try it. I have a MEC Sizemaster for 28 and a Grabber for the 16s, daughter does the 20s and 12s but lives 90 miles away. Might try the Loads All for some 12 non tox.
