Anyone have experience with using Powerbelt bullets in a Thompson/Center Renegade Hunter (Hawkin with no brass funiture)? I have a .50 cal and an upcoming Deer hunt out west. I've always used maxi-balls at 50 yards or less but I'm hoping to find a Powerbelt that my rifle likes. Any help would be appreciated. gg

grayghost,

I have used maxis and sabotted bullets in my .54 Flintlock Hawken. T/C offers several sabotted jacketed bullets for the .50 and .54. It sounds like you have some range time in your future.

powerbelt 245g with 90g powder shot very well at 50 yd from the tc 50 I just picked up. I never tried them in the 54 as ball works fine and I can shoot the speck off a spot with that set up so ...if not broke, don't fix....anyhow as Adam said..have fun at the range.
