Something to consider, NVG (night vision goggles) and NVS (night vision scope) equipment has become more prevalent in recent years. In discussions with Spl Ops folks I have been told from several sources that night sights are a no, no for them. You can see the gun, like a small flashlight, in the holster at night. When the gun is drawn the sights light up the shooters face making a perfect target. I would think that the guys that carry in suburban and rural areas should consider this more that those in urban areas.

Thanks for sharing!
With the sensitivity of NV equipment that makes sense.

I take back what I said about Urban, there is a kids game that has been out for some time. The game includes infa red goggles for about $50. I was thinking of ways to use an IR laser I found for sale. I was going to put laser on my 6.5 Grendel hog gun for night hunting. But finally dropped the project when the well abused laser turned into $1,600 just for the pointer without mount.
Here is an idea about how easy an IR goggle or NVG goggle is to buy: http://www.amazon.com/Spy-Night-Vision-Goggles-Non-Recording/dp/B003AUF1XI
Just put I R Goggle in Google and see what pops up, many, many under $100.
