This is a story of self control and marksmanship with an itsy bitsy shooter by a woman against a fierce predator.
What is the smallest caliber you trust to protect yourself?

The Beretta Jetfire:

While out hiking in Alberta Canada with my boyfriend we were surprised by a huge grizzly bear charging at us from out of no where.

She must have been protecting her cubs because she was extremely aggressive.
If I had not had my little Beretta Jetfire with me I would not be here today!

Just one shot to my boyfriend's knee cap was all it took…….the bear got him and I was able to escape by just walking away at a brisk pace.
It's one of the best pistols in my collection……...

LOL ROFL!! This a true story... I was talkin with a couple of guys at the gun show this weekend. I got a little 3 inch dagger in a trade. Guy asked what i was gonna use that little thing for. I told him it was my bear knife. He looked at me like I was crazy.. Asked how in hell it was gonna take care of me in a grizz encounter.. All I said was when I passed the first person I was gonna just stick 'em in the leg...and keep on runnin.. He walked away laughin.. Parting words were ...remind me to not go up in the mountains wirh you. The guy I hunt with was right behind me too.. Guess i shouldn't have said it where he could hear

Yep, sounds like gator hunting, same thing applies, just be faster than your partner. We were out in the waist high needle grass digging it up to plant and my neighbor asked if I had my gun with me and I said; "nope; you had a knee operation and I run faster than you." That is a true story. For some reason he has not gone back in the swamp with me since.;)

I once told that to my buddy when we came up on a bear. I said all I have to do is outrun you and he said well let me tell you right now, I will run you over so you best be faster than you think you are. lol... I also know you can run at 2 speeds... as fast as you can and as fast as you have to.
