Just a bit of an observation. There seems to be a sense of desperation but not as intense as it was. ARs are not selling as high..and in fact guns aren't really selling..cept maybe handguns. I sell very few handguns. And most of them to friends and people I know. But the one thing people ARE trying to find is reloading components. almost anything sells. I have sold 8 bullet moulds..just yesterday afternoon. Friday afternoons are not the greatest day for gun shows. I put some eye candy on the table in the guise of 22 LR ammo. I really don't want to sell it cause it is so hard to replace. I put 50 bucks each on 4 bricks..and tell 'em I don't want to sell it because I can't replace it..and they still buy it. I did see some 22 cal bullets for sale..at greatly inflated prices..35 bucks a 100 for .224 bullets made for 22 Hornet and 218 Bee. And so marked..They are NOT good bullets for the 223 but they were still buying them. Had a guy come to my table while my wife was free..he wanted a can of H322 and a can of H380. He didn't even ask a price and gave her 60 bucks for them both. She told him that was too much..he waved her off and said he was happy..Sheesh..I have been buying a bunch of small reloading items..Stuff I don't need but some I do. There are so many people comin in the doors I don't get much chance to go lookin.. And momma won't be there to help today. I had a new in box Dillon 550B I put on the table..no price on it yet and a fellow came along and offered me 500. I told him the price was less..he said well heck yeah and walked out with it. It really isn't right to gouge people...no matter how desperate they are. And the price was still a bit over retail. He just said he wanted it cause he didn't have to wait 8 weeks or more for Dillon. A guy offered me 250 bucks for a set of Dillon Carbide 223 dies right out of my Dillon Super 1050. Good grief. I didn't sell them

Will have to check to see when they are gonna have 'em down there.. But I will let ya know. I might even come down to a show in N Colorado..Not to do it..but to buy at it. I like to buy at big shows.
Now for a report on this weekend. Not a great show. Course money IS tight BUT the people who were at this show didn't want guns. They wanted ammo..and reloading components. I had some eye candy on my table(22 ammo) and everybody who asked the price I told 'em they didn't want to know. I priced a brick at 50 bucks and was hoping they wouldn't sell...but unfortunately they did. I sold my 40M of primers the first afternoon. And a new in box Dillon 550. I didn't put a high nuff price on it I guess. Sold a bunch of bullet moulds and a buch of dies. Sold a bit of powder that I really didn't want to sell. But ya gotta have stuff on the tables. I bought 12 cans of old Hodgdon WWII surplus 4895..I got it for less than 9 bucks a can..It cost 60 cents a lb originally LOL!! I was carrying it to my table and a guy asked me how much I wanted for it. He made an offer of 15 bucks a can..so I sold 10 to him. Kept 2 just for me. It loads in sooo many different calibers..including 223. No brainer. The boys were bringin everything out of the back rooms for this show. For the most part they sold it too. Saw Hi-Vel #2 and Hi-Vel #3. It hasn't been made since the 40's Even saw a bunch of Hodgdon H240. Not certain but I think it was the WWII ball powder made for the 30 carbine.. I sold a lot of littles and a couple of hunting rifles..including my own 338 Win Mag. Guess I have to get another now..Let's make it a Kimber. I bought over a 1000 bucks worth though..presses dies ammo and all Gotta stop buying all that crap though..Guys..if ya can find it..buy some more reloading stuff.. It ain't lookin good.

Ammo is available in some gun shops on a limited basis. The box stores are out. Primers are iffy and limited when you can find them. Some powder is available (I found red dot this weekend). No IMR at all. Seems like the panic may be winding down. AR's are showing up but pricey. Went to the range yesterday and I was alone. Tells me people are shooting as much.

I aas at the range a week ago.. Lotsa people shooting shotgun but shotgun ammo is available. I guess ol Joe was trying to tell us somethin. The panic buying on certain things is not over..22 ammo especially as well as 223. Pistol ammo was available at the show..at very high prices..but it was all Old stock that people had squirreled away I even saw some old 22 LR stuff. Guy had some late 60s early 70s 4500 rounds he wanted to sell for 800 bucks..sheesh. ARs are coming out of the stratosphere. But when it comes to reloading stuff. Rotsa Ruck. The Australian gummit has put a restriction on one container of powder on a ship..and each ship has to be out of port before another container is allowed in. And most of Hodgdon powder comes from Austrailia. Talked to one of my suppliers and he's getting no powder or primers..very little ammo. This time it is gonna last a whole lot longer I am afraid.. I just got some of my primers and powder from back in Md. Trucker friend brought it all out to me along with a ton of lead.. and a lathe.. He had to go out to Couer d'Alene on interstate 90..went right through Billings. Kinda convenient for me. He brought me 50 lbs of powder and 70,000 primers. Gotta stay within the law ya know. Just in case he got checked
