The Wyoming Weapons Collectors show is next weekend in Riverton Wy. A friend and I have 6 tables(like last year) and we are hoping we can do as well this year as last. I am actually gonna be trying to sell lots of little things. Bullet moulds sizers bullets ammo and some powder and primers. I am down to under 50 thousand primers...so have to get a few soon. I will be keeping about 15,000 for myself and a friend or two. Been loading 45 auto lately and have about 4000 done. 9mm is next but I only have about 3000 bullets for the 9 other than a bunch of cast bullets for it. I do have a couple of Dillon loaders to take both new a 550B and a 650. Hope they sell so I can buy another rifle or shotgun..or even a handgun or 2. This show is pretty large by Wyoming standards and usually presages the rest of the year's sales. I do have a bunch of hunting rifles etc to take..but they haven't been moving too well in the last 5 months. Guess we'll see.

Good luck with the show. Hope you do well. Heck I know even in these parts folks are cleaning up pretty well at shows.

GOB..the vendors aren't cleaning up all that well...at least not here..the only cleanup I am seeing is all of 'em are bringing out the crap they have in the basement back room and the grudge(southern garage). Seriously I am seeing all kinds of old crap but I will say..some of it has a ridiculous price on it. I saw a bunch of old Winchester primers in the little wooden trays. Had to be at least 50 yrs old and they had them priced at 50 bucks..And Winchester primers from the 50's-60s will probably NOT fire.. Or at the least they are surely suspect. CCIs Alcans and Remington..no problems usually. I have Alcan primers in small pistol size from the mid to late 60s and they are still very good. I used many of 'em loading a 5 gal bucket of 38 sp rounds

People are so desperate here that they will literally buy anything. Not because they need it but because they have been convinced that if they dont get it now they wont ever get it. I had a guy yesterday wanted to sell me OLD lead wheel weights for $9 a pound. Covered in grim, mud, etc. I was paying $9 a pound for the dirt even if I wanted them (I had to pass).

Well am baaaccckk. And the 51st WWC show is in the books. All in all it was a pretty fair show. some observations though. people are desperate as GOB said for certain items. Primers powder and bullets. Some ammo...especially foreign made is coming in stock again. US made..not so much. The big craze on AR rifles seems to be done..a flash in the pan as they say. but you will see it again..I do believe. I only took 10M primers with me.sold at reasonable prices..and they went quick. Took no 22 ammo. It was selluing for 75-80 a brick of 500..and I can't in good conscience do that. but they do set the price..the buyers I mean. Sold lots of littles. bought lots of littles..specially casting stuff. Sold some powder..one guy came by and had an 8 lb of the newer Hodgdon 8208 Benchrest type powder and was proud of the fact he "only" had to pay 240 bucks for it. Holy crap..I si becoming richer by the minit. LOL! As far as guns..hunting rifles are not selling well..although I sold 4..2 were very cheap and 2 were high end rifles. One shotgun sold.and 4 handguns. and 3 of them were to ladies. And all larger calibers..one 44 special(Lisey's special Ruger Flattop one 9mm and one lady bought a smaller 45 auto I had. A Rock Island 6 shooter. The other was a mil-spec 45 auto. Sold some 45 auto ammo too. Sold 17 boxes..but my price was fair..for present times anyway.
Now for my firearm buys. Only for 3 Got nother Kimber 45 auto. and a Kimber 8400 Custom Select in 338 Win Mag...Pretty wood too. and I got a rifle I have wanted for a long time..a 1953 made Winchester M-64 Rifle..30-30 of course. Not perfect..but looks like it will be a good shooter. Metal is about 88-90% wood is ok but has a longitudinal crack in the forend. I have another forend..but think I can repair the original fairly easily. It even has the original sights and the front sight hood. and has a Lyman peep mounted on it. I just gonna use it to get my deer out the back window this fall...Bore is good in it too. Also went to an auction In Cody on last Thursday evening. Bought 3 guns there.. Best of the bunch was a really nice 1920s S&W K framed 38 Special 6 inch with original grips. Blue was approx. 95% just a pretty gun. Paid a bit more than I wanted cause it was an auction.but still a nice collectible at well uned 400 bucks.other 2 were Winchester 22s.one a Winchester 74 22 auto..in ok condition but got it for a 100..the other was a really nice condition Winchester 72 22 bolt with the magazine tube. lt had a Winchester (probably made by Weaver)22 type scope on it. Bore is good as is the blue. Paid 175 for it but it is a nice gun for a young'un..or maybe even an ole 'un like me. If I can will post some pics

Sounds like you had a busy show guy. My wife announced she wanted to start shooting clays. So I did a quick look see and found her a used 391 optima bore 12. I will refinish it for her and shorten the stock. I also found a used wood stock set.

Hey Ed..the 391 is a very nice shotgun. and the optima bore is great. reduces recoil a bit too. Mine will shoot 7/8 ounce loads pretty well so it saves a bit of money reloading. I think she will like that shotgun..and yeah..they usually are a bit long even for us guys.
And on Saturday..Fed Ex delivered my (hopefully) last Dillon Super 1050. This one is set up in 9mm Parabellum/Luger. I have 4 now. Will get this un up and running next week. Got too much work to do now..time to plant the garden. I also just set up a Dillon 650 I've had for a while Gonna use it for 308 for the AR-10....or maybe the 260 also. It is a pretty good shooter for an AR type. Not a match gun...

I would have preferred for her to have a 20 in the 391, but the 12 with the optima bore is very close to a 20 with light loads and an IC choke. I own both a 20 and a 12 right now. And have taken a 391 with me on every trip to Argentina. Unfortunately, my guns are setup for my long arms, i require a 15 1/8 LOP, so it was get her, her own 391. The 391s suffered a brief jump in price with the other semi auto guns. I was lucky to find a gun that needed a refinish to the barrel and tube cap and I just got my new blast cabinet setup. So this 391 will get a Cerakote finish...... Just hope I can get by without doing a pink, anything. :D
Oh, I just found a wood stock set for a good price so I will have something easy to work with, wood.

Ah yes..poip the cullah..pink..to match my eyes.. Hey those cerakotes have a lot of colors..even electric purples etc. That might really be a neat color to do..especially for a lady..I think my wife would even like that..I KNOW my daughter would.. If she didn't already have a nice 11-87 slug gun I'd send her one..done up just that color. Maybe the granddaughter.. And yeah..I'd prefer a 20 for a lady too..but get the length right and load the 7/8 oz and it'll be just fine. I find a gun too long always seems to have more recoil than necessary..Wood is much easier than other materials..prettier too.
