I finally found powder and primers to reload. Now I need a recipe. I plan on sticking with Retumbo and rem 9-1/2 M primers. Has anybody used these bullets yet in their 300RUM? If so, what is your results? I have been shooting the 180TTSX bullets for years and love them, but I really want to try these 200 LRX bullets. Thanks

I haven't tried the LRX bullets yet. I notice they have gotten them in in .270 130gr now. Might have to give 'em a shot myself depending on how they work out for you.

I got the 175 gr instead. Going to give them a try and see how I like them. I have a bunch of upgrades to put on my rifle first. I got a Nightforce 5.5-22x56 with a Weaver 20moa base and weaver rings. I am going to order a Bobby Hart accublock laminated stock, a Timney trigger, and a muzzle brake for it as well. After the muzzle brake I may go to the 200gr pills. I cant wait for better weather here in ND. Just too cold right now.

Let me check my load data but if memory serves me right, 91.5 gr of Retumbo should get you close.

Just got back from my deployment overseas. Now it's time to get my rifle done. I knew I should have spent the extra money on the rings and bases. The weaver base and rings were junk. So, I called nightforce and they offer a military discount. I bought a direct mount unimount with 20 MOA built in. I'm having that installed now. Hopefully get to sight it in soon. My wife will be having a baby soon, so that may not happen. Good luck to y'all that are hunting.

I still don't NEED a RUM or any of the anointed new calibers...but have tried the newer Nosler Accubonds in my 300 Win ..especially the 200 hundred grain. Shoot very well. More accurate than the 165s..in my rifle. In my Kimber 30-06 the 165 Hornady SST bullet is super accurate. Not going to change that. It is truly the most accurate 06 I have ever shot. The 300 Win is also a Kimber. For some odd reason neither rifle shoots 180s well.
