you got it for a good price in my opinion. I had one. Past tense.. I don't really keep military rifles. It is about like a 260 Remington in power and they are used in the north countries over there for everything even moose.

Hey wrenchman, you've been hearing good things about the 6,5 for a reason.

Can't remember if you reload or not . . . I've been using the 130gr Accubonds. In this R93, H4350 and Varget both turn in solid performance.

They do use it for Moose up in Scandanavia, but personally I think it's on the light side. The moose up there are not as large as in NA, and they shoot a lot of cows and calves as well.

I think you'll like your new 6,5, great caliber, and will do the job on bucks and boars. As they say, the proof is in the pudding :)

The Swede was the first center fire I ever bought. Sears had a barrel full of them for under $20. Thing shot extremely well!Later gave it to a cousin.

Posted a couple pics for ya wrenchman in the hunting out of country topic here, from Hohenfels a couple months ago. The frosty pic is one of my favorites lately, was just so pretty that morning.

Funny you just happen to mention Muntjac, I'll be over in UK this weekend looking for a few. Really wanted to take the 6,5, but since it's not on my EU weapon card have to take the 243. Too many rules over here, will be hanging it all up and heading your way in a couple years.

Keine sorge Adam, aber auch keine beschwerde hier, ich habe fast alles gejagd in Europa, was gejagd werden kann!

I've hunted almost everything there is to hunt in Europe, would have to tally it up but am sure I'm over 90%+. I know Moose, Wolf and Bear are failing, but those are pretty big ticket items, pricewise.

Wrenchman, I'll post a couple pics of Muntjac on a different thread, but gotta warn ya, it ain't gonna be pretty
