Guy called me up wanting to sell a bunch of ammo. Went and looked at it and turns out there was 10 boxes of 348 Winchester ammo in the lot..oh and a box of once fired Peters . Nice box too. The ammo was mostly the 348 that Winchester loaded when Browning made the Copy of the Winchester M-71 back a few years ago. Got 8 boxes of that which is 200 gr Win Silvertips....the other two were a box of Rem 200 gr and the other was the one I was really lookin for..250 gr Win Silvertips...long discontinued. 348 is very hard to find these days. All told I got 50 boxes total.. The rest was pretty much standard fare..but did get one box of 222 Rem Mag.. I also found a lb of Reloader 22..finally. Fellow also offered me a Remngton R-1 Stainless enhanced as they call it..adj night sights etc etc. Wholesale on it is about 780..he wanted 800. Think I will buy it. I love 45s..well....1911s anyway. And since I have an old Rem 722 in 300 Savage..I am going to send it out and have it re-barreled in 250-3000 Ackley Improved..Going to do a 24 or 25 inch.. I know...duh!!

Thanks Gil,
I really did well price wise on the ammo. Averaged 20 a box so that is pretty good. The rest was 7-08 220 Swift 308 stuff like that. Most 348 goes for over 40-50 bucks when you can find it.. The rest of the ammo I will sell for about 25 a box. It will not last as rifle ammo is very hard to find out here in Wild Wyoming.. even standard calibers..

Heck Ed...Smalls are what I do. Always have..but the profit margin on small stuff is usually higher than the expensive stuff. And people can see paying 20-50 bucks for the small items when they can't afford the 1000 dollar items. I am also that way. Not that I can't afford the expensive stuff. if we justify it to ourselves we can all pretty much buy that expensive thing we really want...but the small stuff just doesn't need justification. we need it..we will buy it. I have done an accounting of my reloading items.. I need to sell some. I have more than 90 reloading presses..And just yesterday.. I bought an old RCBS A press. Like I need it.. But I guess somehow I justified it to me..HUH?? LOL
