I cannot tolerate poor customer service or bad advice. I had a problem with my home phone so I called Verizon on my cell phone to report the issue and request service. The annoying female robotic voice at Verizon took me through the long maze and finally asked, ..."are you calling from the phone that is not working?.." Now how could I call from a phone that is not working?
Just yesterday, I had a problem with Outlook email and could not send or receive anything. I called Microsoft and registered for service. Microsoft send a confirming email to my Outlook account and would not budge until I responded to it. I was able to get a call into Microsoft and asked, if my email is not working, how can I receive your email and respond. No answer.
The worst are the repeated almost daily calls from telemarketers who want to sell me a motorized wheelchair (which I do not need), or treat my health issues (which I do not have) or want to help with my credit card problems (which do not exist). I now tend to yell at them over the phone.
Finally, I just returned from ten days on vacation in Florida. I called my credit card companies in advance and advised them of my travel plans. Twice in one day, my credit card would not work until I called the mothership and unlocked that card. I was advised that this was for my own good. I do not believe them.
Anyone else have some pet peeves? Thanks for reading this. All the best...
