Today, I went to my local gun shop and Tim, the owner, was unpacking a powder shipment. Many powers are showing up lately, but for the last 2 years there was no 2400. I carefully hoarded a pound until today. Tim got in five pounds of 2400 along with much other powder such as IMR4350, 4831, etc. I bought a pound of 2400 for $24.95 plus 6% sales tax.
At home, I put the 2400 into the stash. My last 2400 container was bought in October 2008 for $18.95 plus sales tax. Powder and primers are abundant, but darn few .22 long rifle ammo is to be seen. The local Walmart has been out of .22 shells for the better part of two years.
What is the situation elsewhere across the USA?

Out here in the Pacific Northwest powder has been showing up and .22 ammo while not abundant has been showing up. Gun show prices for .22 ammo is high and it just sits on the table nobody buying it at the high price they are asking for it.

Powders even 2400 are pretty much available. Unique not so much. I have recently bought some of the old metal cans of 2400 Unique and Bullseye...still sealed no less for 10 bucks a can. Think about 11 pounds total so far. I have gotten some cans of Alcan 5 and Alcan 8 too. All at gun shows for giveaway prices. The Al-5 is akin to Unique in handgun use and AL-8 fairly close to Blue Dot. I have loaded quite a few 44 mag rounds with the AL-8.
22's are coming available somewhat. Getting 22s at Wally World is a real problem as the average ammo sporting goods guys are calling their "friends" first... At least around here. 22 mag ammo has been really hard. Almost unobtanium in this area and usually goes for 20 bucks or more. Last time I was back east I went to a wholesale place and got 2 cases of 22mags. Sold all but 10 boxes in almost no time for 20 bucks each at local shows... Those 10 boxes are mine..22LR is selling at shows yard sales everywhere for essentially 10 cents a round. Realistically prices on the 525 boxes is 50 bucks... Some sellers esp at gun shows are scarfing up 22s at the stores and selling for a profit at a show...but out here we don't have Walmarts 20 miles apart. The 2 closest to me are 48 miles one way and the other is 70 miles. While driving back east we stopped at 2 Sam's Clubs to buy fuel on one day..Always a Walmart near and I was allowed to buy 12 325 boxes of Winchester 22s for an average of under 16 dollars each. I did see about 5 boxes of the same ammo the other day in the Billings Cabela's at 27 dollars each..Nope I did not buy any.
Forgot to add I bought 12 lbs of powder today at a yard sale for an average of 16 dollars a pound..all sealed new cans... Think it's bad now?? Wait till after the anointed is swept into her office.
