I have my .416 Rigby loaded with 400 grain CEB solids and 370 grain CEB Raptors. Soon I will test them on Cape Buffalo in which I am confident of the result as long as I do my part and place these excellent projectiles in the proper spot. It only took 6 shots to put the last two rounds in the same hole at 100 yards and that is because my friend turned the elevation knob the wrong direction...lol. I'll look at maybe taking larger game such as Roan antelope etc and I expect the same results; DRT. Will advise...grayghost

grayghost,

Why are you taking handloads on a costly hunt of a lifetime? Ammo cost for an African Hunt is about 1% of the cost of the adventure, so why not just go with factory ammo?

yes it is for some guys it just adds to the fun.
my father in law did not need the 458 he just wanted to try it on a bear and hand loading was part of it.
