hmmm Where to start? Figured I'd just post a few highlights I suppose.
Hunting is as good as always and I was blessed with many successes this year.
#1 Three Generations of winners after the Championship 1000 yard Varmint Benchrest Silhouette match. All 3 of us placed and Haden took back the Youth title as top Junior for 2017 leaving the competition in the dust

#2 Haden's first deer with a "Real" bow on our Archery opener. You all have been following him whacking deer since he was 5 and has well over 20+ deer to his name, but seeing him jacked-up on his first non-crossbow deer was exciting. He may not look it, but that's his happy face!

#3 Cameron's first pheasant. Man it took a bit for her to get on with the old 20 gauge, but when she did.. awesome hunt! She sure gave Charleigh a work out.

most of her shots are featured here https://youtu.be/liw5RVmYNlY and https://youtu.be/-Wm1tzWi5W8
#4 Haden taking 2nd place in the local Summer Fishing contest with a carp he shot while bowfishing

#5 More meat in the freezer.. and we can't wait for flintlock

#6 Haden's contest winning Longbeard. Took us 2 weeks to finally get this old sucker to make the wrong mistake!

I could go all day about these kids, but I suppose I'll brag a little myself!
#1 Kimball, SD Pheasant Hunt. Bucket list hunt and man did I have a good time. More of a dream puppy vacation for my dog and she performed outstanding.

That hunt can be found here on my Youtube Channel

#2 Halloween buck.. took me 3 weeks to figure this guy out. He was the biggest one on my radar and quite the old sucker. Beautiful 10 that unfortunately broke his right G2 off in a scuffle just 6 days before I shot him.

then on the 24th, it's missing

#3 Two Pigs, One Shot... these two dummies lined up at 250 yards and intentionally made a 2 kill with one shot with a 6XC (sorry for the graphic nature but man was that some mist unfolding in my scope when I squeezed the trigger)

#4 Yeah, yeah the kid beat me by 1/8" inch. Just another long beard for me!

#5 Charleigh takes her place at the top of the podium for the second year of NWPA Bird dog Challenge. Sorry no pictures, maybe I'll post some video of that event when I get some time.
I'm sure there's plenty more excitement in the hunting world, but that's about all I have.
As a side note... it wasn't all peaches in 2017. This was the Summer of Tornado's for PA. Had one rip right through my property and right through the house.. Thank god it was only an F1. Can't imagine you folks out in the Midwest that see "big" tornado's. I only lost about 50 trees but it was 2 days after I installed new porch furniture. Needless to say that was gone in 15 seconds! Amazing what 85mph winds do... couldn't imagine 150mph winds
