Four days ago it was -10 degrees at sunup and today it is 54 degrees at noon in Northcentral Pennsylvania. It has been a busy day here on the farm in early January. I got both tractors started and ran each for 15 minutes and parked them. I got the portable (like a lawnmower setup) 2500 watt generator out of the milk house and started it up. I then started the lawnmower, chainsaw, walk-behind mower and garden tiller and let all run for 15 minutes.
I got two water lines thawed out and made adjustments to prevent future freezing when it goes to Zero next Sunday night here. It is near the end of the day and all is ready for the rest of Winter. Yes, it is a bit of a chore, but far better than a studio apartment in Boston!
I am now weighing cast bullets and .reloading for the next thaw to use my shooting bench Christmas gift in my 3-bay tractor shed nearby.
