Yep the straight grip is the Texan model they don't make anymore. Heck of a good rifle but $375 is a little steep unless it was NIB. or very close to it.
That new trigger on the SPS is the same one that is in my VTR and let me tell you if it is set from the factory like mine was it will NEVER need adjusting. Mine is just perfect. GoodOlBoy |
Hey Gob
The price on that ol rifle might seem high doen there..but it was a fairly cheap buy here. Lever guns go high up here...especially Winchester and Marlin saddle guns.
Today after 4 yrs of looking for a 41 mag..Bought one the other day and had another guy stop by. He wanted to look at a Winchester M-12 Trap gun I have...er had. I am now the proud owner of 2 41 Smith's a 4inch 657 and a nice 6 inch blued 57... Traded a Browning BBR rifle I got at a show for a Ruger 77MK II in 220 swift with a nice scope on it. Even got the rest of his ammo. Been shot exactly 12 rounds(He won it at a Friends of the NRA dinner). The Ruger No 1 I got the other day I traded a Browning BT99 for. Bought that ol (UGLY) BT at an auction for 300 bucks. And momma bought me a really nice Remington 1100 G3 20 ga..She got it at Cabela's for 600 bucks. Think she got it cause it is a 20 ga and she can use it. Remington discontinued the darn gun . Seems to be a nice shotgun and it shoots either 2 3/4 or 3 inch shells. I gonna shoot Pheasants with it. Course I like the ol 1100 platform and I now have 16 but 8 of them are 2- 4 gun D grade Skeet sets I bought in the past. I even have a Purbaugh Conversion Standard weight 20 ga to 410. Shoots great. |
