Cal Sibley

I've learned that long time member (of your forum and many others) Cal Sibley has been in the hospital for three weeks. He is still in intensive care after catching a bad cold followed by a stroke.

I do not know any type of information regarding recovery.

I thought I would pass this on to you guys.

Rocky Raab 11-02-2006 10:22 PM

Thanks, PBR. We were wondering about him. Pass along our best wishes if you can.

BILLY D. 11-02-2006 10:56 PM

Thanks for letting us know Redneck. I know Cal from a couple of other forums and found him to be knowledgeable and always a gentleman.

Heres a get well quick prayer for ya bud.

I am deaply saddened to hear of Cal's health problem. Like Billy says, he is always such a gentleman. Thanks for letting us know PBR, and if you have a way of letting him know, please tell him he is in my thoughts and prayers. I was just wondering about him the other day.

He has always come across as a gentleman on this forum. This quality, and civility in general, seem to be more scarce everywhere with the passage of time. I wish him well.

Purebred Redneck 11-04-2006 01:49 PM

I don't have an update yet as the guy on my forum who called his wife wants to wait a few days as to not pester her.

I will let you know how he is.

Cal will be missed very much.

BILLY D. 11-13-2006 11:12 PM

I knew Cal from Relaoders Nest and the Accurate Reloading forums. I never heard him utter an ill word to anyone. A frist class gentleman and a class act. and very knowledgeable about firearms.

Cal, when I go hunting Wednesday the day will be dedicated to you my friend.

And yes the tears are real.

Jack 11-14-2006 01:27 AM

I never had the privilege of shaking Cal's hand, but I considered him a friend.
A fine gentleman with a wonderful sense of humor, he will be missed.

Dan Morris 11-14-2006 05:29 AM

Sad, my prayers and thoughts go to the family and those he touched.

I am so sorry to hear that...I considered Cal a huntchat family member and it breaks my heart that he has left us....

Rocky Raab 11-15-2006 09:41 AM

May I ask whoever speaks with his family to kindly pass along the deepest and most sincere condolences from the Hunt Chat administrators.

I can only agree wholeheartedly to the comments about Cal being a truly class gentleman. He will genuinely be missed.

Cal and I used to PM and e-mail quite a bit, especially when I was in Oklahoma and Texas, we kinda lost touch when I came back to Germany.

Hell of a man, and a stand up guy, I will truly miss him:(
