Looks like little Rachel will have 1/9/7 as her birth date.

No cigars. They remind me of Clinton. EEEWWWWW!

Heck when his wife gets done buyin all the little young'un stuff Rocky will have to get another JOB. He won't have the money to buy us all nickle cigars. Maybe not even enough to buy a pack of cigarettes to pass out

Rachel Lauren Hecht was born just before 5 pm Mountain Time in Phoenix. She is 7 1/2 pounds and 21 inches with dark hair.

Her mother Christina is calm and hungry but feels good as her labor was short and easy. Her Grandmother is pinging off the walls. Our son-in law Howard says he's calm and happy. (It hasn't sunk in yet, I think. Ha!)

Me? I'm delirious, misty-eyed and absolutely overwhelmed.

Trust me on this one...whether she was your 1st grand baby or your 9th(mines due in April)The feelings are always the same as the 1st...they never get old or diminish in any way you will never run out of love for these precious little wonders,In fact they are so much fun.....you will wonder why you didn't have them 1st...hahaha.......Congrats to you and your family again:)

Your wife will quite probably be like mine: Hand her a grandbaby, and she just beams all over.

Congratulations.

You will quickly discover that if you knew how fun grandkids are, you would have had them first.

Congratulations Rocky. My mom and dad cannot wait until my wife has our baby. My dad tore out his entire kitchen and dining room right after Christmas because he needs to have it done by the baby shower at the end of March. I have never seen him work this quickly and if I'm not too busy this weekend I'll stop by and give him a hand or two.

Grandkids are fun because you don't have to worry about everything that comes with children. Me, I am trying to figure out a million things for my baby girl to be (e.g., 529 plan vs. Series I bonds for college, how to afford a new house with a large yard, which school systems in the state are the best, when to introduce her boyfriends to the gun safe's contents, and the list goes on and on).

Again Rocky, Congratulations to you, your wife, your daughter, and your son-in law. I just hope my wife has a quick labor.

Tell me about it. seems like only yesterday my oldest was born. In a couple of months she will be 47. I still remember the horseyback rides across the living room. sheeeeeeesh.

Now here I am doing the same things with great grand kids. Some day I'll grow up, I promise.
