trail camera

just wondering if someone could tell me their opinion on trail cameras, mainly if they,ve noticed if the flash spooks deer,i,m trying to decide between a regular flash or the infared led type, hence the price difference, thanks

I have used the cameras with a standard flash, for mule deer and elk. I have not noticed any of them spooking. I have set my delay too short before and got 5-6 pictures of the same animal no sign of them being bothered. If you are in whitetail country I have no experience with how they react.

Never tried one but I would guess knowing whitails they would be off in a "flash". lol

My experience is that the flash is not a big deal to the whitetail either. I suspect that they just brush it off as maybe a flash of lightening perhaps. I have had cameras set on feeders and get multiple pix of the same deer and they are not alarmed by the presence of the camera

the deer and hogs either kinda get used to it, or at least some do.

as i get many photo's of the same deer/hogs.
