hornady in my opion produces top knotch factory ammo, very acuarate and consinstent in all chamberings.

dont think they brew ammo for the wsm calibers yet.

I dont know about those calibers. I cant imagine it would be any different than my 3006, but I have shot their 150gr PSP and SST in the light magnum variety in my Sako for several years now and they are incredibly accurate and devastating on deer. I highly recommend them!!!

Hornady makes fine, accurate ammunition. In fact that's all I shoot outta my centerfire rifles. It helps that my rifles shoot em extremely well to boot!

thanks Im going to try them out this spring.I dont reload so I need to rely on factory loads.

Cal Sibley 02-15-2005 10:32 AM

I don't know about Hornady factory ammo since I reload for everything I own. I have been using their bullets in increasing amounts and have found some that are excellent in my rifles. I would recommend the following:

.17 20gr.VMAX
.17 25gr. HP
.243 95gr. SST
.264 129gr. SP

There are probably other good ones as well. Just one mans opinion. Best wishes.

75gr vmaxes outa my 2506 shoot exsceptional, despite eveeryone telling me they wouldnt because the they are to light for the 2506.

thats the only vmX PILL IVE LOADED

I use Hornady ammo for my 6.5x55.
It shoots great, but I dont think its popular. I bought 2 boxes, then the next year bought 4. All of the boxes have the same lot#.

I shot my first Hornady ammo last Saturday. It performed very well. I bought more to replace what I'd shot.
