 .22 Rimfire needed fast!

		Hello all.
I would be overjoyed if anybody out there had a CHEAP .22 rimfire for sale. Emphasis is on CHEAP(less than $200 please). I need something to be able to work on my targeting so i can also pass hunters safety course, as it is what I have been dreaming of since I was Very little. |

I know when I took hunter safety you didn't shoot any rimfires. Just took a written exam with about 50 quesitons. Basic common sense questions. Anyways, you cuold always go up to a local sporting store (depends on age) and buy a .22 for cheap. There are several different brands for less then $200 Ruger 10/22, Rem 597, Marlin and Savage. Hope that helps

 Kuntry
Slow down a bit:D I get excited everytime I get a new gun also, but WOW:p I hadn't heard you needed a gun here in Michigan for Hunter's Safety. I have been checking into when my son can get into class, and don't recall seeing anything about needing a gun. Even in most CCW classes here, you can rent a gun for the range portion. Besides, I'm guessing your a minor, and you just plain can't purchase a gun yet. Give us a little more info and perhaps we can be of more help. There is nothing better than our youngsters getting excited about our sport and getting involved in it. I am sure many members here would help with anything they could ... advise, etc |

Ok, I take back the hunters safety course. I need a 22 so I can take the stupid squirrels and racoons out. I am interested in turkey hunting on the allegan game area and cannot afford a shotgun.;) O well.

There are a lot of nice people on this board that could have talked you through what the PROPER and RIGHT way to get yourself a .22 would have been, but you shouldn't be lying to anyone like that  |

 KK,
Not trying to preach at you, but slow down, and think about what your asking and saying. I just tried to get on the Michigan DNR website, but something is wrong with my Adobe Reader. But I am pretty positive that you can't use a 22LR for Michigan turkey seasons. As for not affording a shotgun, I just bought my son a new 20ga / 22 LR combo gun for $110. So they are out there. Owning any weapon comes with its own responsibality, and at a younger age... ownership is a priveldge and not a right, IMHO. Please, slow down. I'm sure your a good kid, with great intentions, and full of youthful exuberance. But truth and patience will be your best reward now and all through out life :D |

Ok, thank you for all the "help". DO YOU GUYS JUST GO AROUND AND FIND THE THINGS I SAID AND THROW IT AT MY FACE??!! Geez!
Yall need ta lighten up a little, wouldnt you say? All I did was try to see what good 22s there where out there and i end up gettin shot down. Im outta hunt chat for a while. Good luck finding someone else to rag on. If you want to give me real advice, PM me cuz I dont wanna be beaten on all sides. |

something real fishy about this one.

obviously wanted a 22 cheap cause no one will sell to him and mom and dad prob said no way.
obviously no respect for the law, or elders. compulsive liar more than likely. i wonder how much illegal game this one has taken.? quite a bit i am sure. (turkeys with 22 in or off season.) oh well, i guess maybe we all remember parts of this kid in us at younger age. hopefully time and experience will mature the individual. |

Guys, I think looking back at this one, that Kuntry has a point to a cetain extent. The last thing I want to contribute to is beating up a young, new member here. My aplogies to you Kuntry, and any thing further on this thread will have to be in private. I am closing this thread for the good of us all.
Again, my apologies Kuntry... God knows I belong in the back of the line when in comes to casting stones.:( |
