Cook in a milk Can?

No, but how does a new metal garbage can caount?
Lined botton with opened cans of beer. Put stove grate on 'em. Tthen stacked potatoes, onion, sweetcorn, ham, sausage etc. Salt and pepper. Old Bay Seasoning. Cover. Fill pit with charcoal, set on hot coals and let 'er cook.
Unfortunately the timing excapes me I was not the cook and the remaining beer distracted me.somewhat

We cook something called Kentucky Boil in milk cans. Put whole potatoes, onions, pieces of carrots, cob corn, and cabbage quarters about 2/3 way full. Put the lid on, cracked just a tad. Add about 1/4 water to bottom of milk can, set over hot charcoal fire, once water comes to a boil, it steams the veggies done in no time. Just when potatoes are about cooked, we add cut up polish sausage to the top, this heats up and adds flavor to veggies.
We then serve boil poured out into hardmaple pig trouph, actually one we keep for us humans. It is great!
