Our first ML deer season is mid-October, but I was out last night hunting chucks with a .50 T/C Hawken caplock for practice. I took a long shot with RB just at dusk and liked the fire flashing over the newly cut hayfield. The chuck gave me sport and got away, wiser for the experience.

Muzzleloader season here is dec. 27-30. I've still got quite a wait.

Ours starts right after Oct bow season.
