This evening, I will conduct my annual toast to all my fellow vets: to those who gave some and to those who gave all. You all gave.

Thank you!

To everyone who has, is, or will sacrifice, some or all, to keep us free: My undying gratitude and respect.

To the families and loved ones of those who have sacrificed: My condolences, my thanks, and my pledge to continue to honor those who have served.

To every person who has ever thanked me for my contribution, on this day or any other: Thank you for making the uniform easier to wear, the job easier to do, and the sacrifices worthwhile.

To those who do nothing for their country but criticize and complain. To those who constantly, by opinion or by deed, infuriate and berate those who strive to keep you safe and free. I hope that someday you come to realize the importance of the sacrifices made that continue to give you the rights and freedoms you take for granted.

David

If you can read this, Thank a Teacher.... If you are reading it in English, Thank a VET.

A little Late but all my appreciation goes out to the Vets here and all across our great land

BILLY D. 11-14-2005 03:00 PM

to me it is not a matter of honoring the vets who returned so much as it is to honor those souls who "gave their all".

their ultimate sacrifice allows us that are left to live in the greatest country in the world. i can not begin to thank my fallen comrades that preceeded me in battle enough. as for those of us who got back we say thank you for remembering us and those who didn't return. it was our honor to serve.
