I have heard Winchester is closing its doors in March ? Any truth to this ?

Yes, sort of. There are press releases out there about it. Herstal owns the factory in CT that makes Model 94s and Model 70s and has a license (from Olin Corp) to use the name Winchester for about another year. Herstal is closing the US plant but will continue to make modern rifles under the Winchester name in Blegium. But no more 94s.
