Killer easy biscuits

I never though anything this simple would be so good, but it is I promise...they melt in your mouth..

1 cup self-rising flour
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon sugar
2 tablespoons mayo

Mix bake at 350 degrees in slightly greased muffin pan for 12 to 15 minutes...

Next time a make bisquits & gravy for my buddies I'll give them a try.

Valigator, going Bear hunting in Quebec(Spring Hunt) in May, have a buddy coming over from Finland, and this year he's bring his nephew, I'll try your bisquits out on them along with buddy from Pa.

Thats the beauty of these biscuits, no yeast no rising etc..and not a ton of ingredients...I really liked them hot out of the oven and then smeared apple butter all over them....they were dangerous....they were so good...

went fishin' and didn't get back till late. started to rustle up some grub and had a brain wave and thought about these.

i was gonna email val for some more directions but i figgered if i did she'd prolly stick a boot up my backside. ;)

any way, vals assessment of the biscuits being delicious is a gross understatement. there GRRRRRRRRREAT. i didn't have apple butter but apricot preserves makes a very suitable substitute. total time from prep to finished product, 20 minutes. even had the bowl washed.

chef billy d. gives them and val a 5***** star rating.

thanks pretty lady

Vali, after reading these post I decided I couldn't wait until Bear Hunt to try out you bisquits, so last Friday evening, I made a double batch of them at my son's, they were great! by the time my daughter in law came home from work there was only one left.
So I gave my son your receipe, and I made a batch(double) receipe for Easter dinner and ended up giving out 4 more receipes for them. Everyone loved them. So your receipe will be going to Quebec this Spring:D :D :D Also you got all the credit for these bisquits!;) :D :D :D

I am really happy you liked them....now did you put some good jam on top???

larryours 04-27-2006 07:49 AM

Valigator, just want you to know that my hunting buddies from New Castle, Pa and Finland all liked your Bisiquits. Need to say your receipe will be in Finland.:D :)

Valigator 06-10-2006 07:51 AM

wow now I truly am an international gal UH?:p

larryours 06-14-2006 12:30 PM

You sure are, they wanted to know how an "old fart"(this is from a hunting buddy in Pa.) got a receipe for and to bake such good bisquits, I told all them it was from a young lady in Florida and they wanted me to express their appreciation.
By the way, I got a 300 + lb. Black bear boar with my Pronghorn recurve. (www.lodge-at-parent-lake.com) to see my photo and others.
Thanks for a great receipe
