Smoke Detectors

Just feel the need to pass on a public service announcement that we've all heard before.

Couple nights ago we responded to a house fire at around 3:00 am. 6 people were in the house and all made it out fine because they had smoke alarms. An attic fan started a fire and it smoldered in the attic for hours before it broke loose and filled the house with smoke.

Stop on your way home TODAY and get a new battery for every one of your detectors, plus get a couple more new ones. Have one in every room and maintain them.

Every time there's a time change I check and change mine, even though they are wired to the main power supply...I even change my backups.

Good reminder for those that don't do it. $10 every 6 months could save the life of you and your family.

was that the story we saw on the news? I am not sure where I saw it, but the people were inside...and the neighbors saw the fire coming from the roof before the people were even aware of it.....
