Looking for......
....examples (either off of a webpage or in a book) of traditional Native American beadwork from the eastern woodlands tribes (Mohawk, Ojibway, Chippawa, ect). I can find plenty of examples of Plains indian beadwork, but I cant' seem to find good representations of works from these tribes. I am making some knives, and I want to make some semi fancy sheaths for them.
Thanks in advance........ |
Mr. 16 gauge,
Next month there is a pow-wow at a local club with Indian structures, dances, etc. I will see if I can find some information for you then. The reenactors represent local Indian tribes native to this part of PA. Adam |
Thanks Adam.....I'm curious to see what you find out.

sorry mr 16 i thought you lookin for something else. you might
try kenockee tradin post in the avoca area west of port huron or dixie gun works on line. |
I was up to Kenockee last weekend.....they didn't have anything like that; Unfortunately most of their firearms have evolved into inlines.:( Still most of their accoutraments are for traditional BP, and it is one of the few places I can still get 'real' black powder.
Thanks for the address for Flint and frizzen, though......I didn't realize it was so close. |
