Great pics of you, Spanky and the birds, Nulle. You have me here salivating all over myself. That is just so cool to be able to go out with young kids like that and get them involved with the hunt. Takes me back to my own childhood.
How are your other dogs doing? Do you still have that shorthair?

Mil Dot 12-11-2006 07:49 AM

I see ya had to hire a personal massuese(?sp) for that poor yellow after that workout, but he appears to have recovered fully!

Dan Morris 12-11-2006 07:57 AM

Nice bunch of birds, they look considerbly larger than the last time I did pen raised ones! Bet the flavor is a lot better!
Dan

Well Dan they should be bigger then the pen raised ones as these are "Wild" birds and so far no stocking on this property.
If you notice on the first picture of the grain stubble fields, they are full of left over grain. With that and creek bottom cover the area is great for pheasants.
This is the fourth great year on this land and we did stock a few partridge and are going to put in a few quail next year but the pheasants have not had to be stocked.

Good photos. After my last trip to SD, I figured the best dog for late phesants was a greyhound....
