Congrats to the 1st Spammer of 2007: NickolasVanily

Come on everyone, lets give it up for our new member and pal NickolasVanily. One of many spammers that was thoughtful enough to join up and share the good news with us since November.

Not sure what your prize is going to be but we're sure you'll enjoy it.

Spam-bots with human handlers.

Most Internet forums have been hit with these for the last 6 months or so.

The only way to deal with them is to manually approve all new members and prune those that look to be spammers before they have a chance to post.

That's what we do, boo!

:D

Haven't gotten my first spambot kill yet this year - Skinny gets up too early!

Actually, the honors rightly go to Petey for that one.
But I was up at 4am for a couple of teenagers who drove their car into a creek at a bridge. The heavy rains during the night didn't help and if they had flipped over, well the rescue would have been a bad start to our first call of the year.

Thanks for the kind words but I think our real heroes are folks that have worn and are wearing the uniform of the United States Armed Forces. :)

Very well said. I agree.

I wonder how many folks know who is pictured in the small B & W photo at the top of your post.

Jeffrey Heisley on the POW/MIA and I believe the next one is Alvin York.
