Looking for a Female Chessie
 

I'm looking for a female Chesapeake Bay Retreiver. Will give dog a great home on a 50+ acre ranch with ponds for swiming and lots of room to run. Less than 5 years old, AKC registered and not spayed. Anyone have any suggestions? Tried the Chessie rescue but all dogs are spayed. Really don't want one from a puppy mill. I'd like to keep it and possibly breed it with my male dog if it has a good nose and likes to hunt, like he does.

Rubicon might be able to point you in the right direction. I think he used to have a Chessie or two, but I cannot swear to it. Good luck. In a year or two I might be in the same situation but I'll be looking for a yellow lab.
