Upset myv HOA====Again

Got a complaint about the ragged flag I had in front yard....forbidden by HOA....10 houses here have em. Got it when I buried a good friend in 66...Arlington...orphan..no one else to receive it.
Granted, it was a little ragged... replaced it with a new one!
Mounted the old one on the wall in loading room....lotta thoughts
as you get older!
As Memorial Day approaches, God bless all the people that suit up daily...fear on no fear....and prepare to give their lives for others!

Please forgive me I am a Canadian and I don't understand what you are saying here. If I understand you correctly you are flying a flag in honour of your fallen friend and there are some people that are offended by that. Are you flying the "rebel" flag? Is this what your neighbours are offended by? I say stick to your guns- to h**k with your neighbours.

My HOA pissed me off today. They sent me a letter saying that I need to move my satellite dish from the front lawn which is on a pole. Granted, I thought it was ugly when we first bought the place 3 years ago, but it has been there for 5+ years at this point and only now do they complain about it. Probably has to do with the fact that we have a new management company and that the market is struggling so people are more worried about the community look when they go to sell.

This is the first HOA that I have been a member of, and it will be the last. I cannot stand all this HOA BS.

Hate to be a stick in the mud here but it is considered improper to fly a tatterd flag and not good etiquette nor proper respect to the flag.

Also it is improper to fly a flag at night unless the flag is illuminated.

There are also lots of other instances.

I think the HOA is within their rights.............Howsome ever they would probably have a hissy fit if they saw the flag at the fort when Keyes was inspired to write the Star Spangled Banner.

Like I said not trying to be a stick in the mud.

Gentlemen, no offence taken. This particular gal has always been a pain, it wasn't a Conferate flag, just a US. Guess that they are within their rights, funny, the 10 or so US flags being displayed have almost doubled as of this morning!Guess that kinda speaks for its self.
