Amazing. It still amazes me that people think we are in this war because of oil. It stuns me that our politicians want to limit funding because they want to have the command in chiefs job. It angers me that there should be any question from them other than "What can we do to help."

That was pretty awesome. I am glad that people take the time to do things like that. Now, we need to take the time to pass this You Tube thread to our friends and ask them to pass it along to their friends. I think everybody in the nation should see this thing at least once.

If you don't have any luck finding a deserving recipient that way, there are several thousand available at this link: http://anysoldier.com/ Either way, receiving a package and knowing they are not forgotten can mean more to one of our troops than most of you can possibly imagine. |
Just So You Know!
Aim to Maim,
Just so you know. GOB has more realitives who have been in the service, friends and friends families who are in the service, than most people have experience with. His Great Great Step Grandfather was in the Battle of the Bulge. A friend (Army) of his Fathers went into Normanday on D-Day. His Grandfather (Marine) was at Chosin Reservoir in Korea, one of his Great Uncles (Army) fought in WWII & Korea. He was only 16 when he went to War in WWII. His other 2 Great Uncles (One in both the Air Force and Army and one a Marine) both fought in Vietnam. One of my Cousins served in the U.S. Navy. My Wifes Uncle that GoodOlBoy shares a birthday with was in the nose of the first bomber run over Berlin in B24's. And another of My Wife's Uncles served in the South Pacific in WWII, and I've seen the Original Katana that was removed from a Japanese Officer by him. I have many friend still serving. My Friends Son down the street is in the U.S. Coast Guard, right now. Their are many more, too many to list all of them, I can't remember all of them any more, my falt not GOB's, what can I say, my brain is getting old. Last but not least his Father (Me) spent more than 12 years in the United States Army, and served all over the world between Europe, Middle East, Central and South America. Yes GOB knows a couple of people that have served and some that are still serving in the Armed Forces of the United States of America. My Son has supported the troups, so to speak, in more ways than you can ever know. So please don't be sarcastic about his question "What can we do to help?" Thanks for the chance to serve. Aim to maim I haven't spent a few dollars on a single care package, so far I have spent ALOT on ALOT of care packages. We have a huge number of people where I work who have children in the military overseas. I have donated quite alot to their care packages and will continue to do so.

You make a valid point though Aim. There are many out there who sit back on their big fat laurels and do nothing. I suppose that all things considered it might seem less dangerous than those who openly oppose, but somehow I don't think it is.
At any rate. GoodOlBoy |
