All those poor people. It sounds like they were lucky that more people weren't killed.
This is one of the reasons I'm not overly fond of bridges. |
Boy that scared the heck out of me. My daughter lives in Farmington and crosses that bridge daily to get into Minneapolis.
Shes going to have a long slow commute to work from now on. Just thankful she wasn't there at that time I hope. Bill |
Billy D., glad you heard from your daughter. That's the most traveled bridge in Minnesota and almost everyone in the state knows somebody that travels over it at least once a day.
I live in MN and it is the only news on the radio & TV today. When this is all done there are going to be a lot of stories about the rescues. I'm afraid it's all down to recovery work now and that concerns me a bit, there is going to be some very dangerous work involved in that river. Keep those divers in your prayers, they've got a huge job ahead of them down there on the bottom of the Mississippi. |
This is a horrible occurance all the way around. For a little perspective for folks around the country it would be like taking the biggest highway going into your biggest town and removing a 1/2 mile section of both in and out bound lanes then run the Mississippi through the hole.
The school bus is just the Big Guy watching out for the kids. |
