drop away rests
 

Thinking about putting the biscuit on the shelf and trying out one of the new drop aways on the market. Really dont want anything else on the string and was looking at the muzzy zero effect. Any one have any experience with any of the drop away rests. I value your opinions I dont want to buy something that I am not going to be happy with. Probably make a trip to the bow shop at the end of the season and try some out but was wondering if there were some that i should stay away from. thanks:confused:

Most drop away rests work great, and function the same way. NAP, Muzzy, and many others.
The only helpful advice I can give you is to use one that connects to the cable, and avoid those which drop by friction or magnets.
There are some lesser priced drop away rest that work just fine. I can't think of the manufacturer of one that I put on one of my bows, but it was under $50. If I think of the name I'll let you know.
My guess is that you'll find you consisitant shoot more accurately with a drop away.

I've used the Nap drop away for the last couple of years and really found it added to shot consistency. I've never had a problem with it yet and was easy to install and tune.
I agree with FeatherMax, use one that attaches to the cable, seems to work the same way every time.

QAC Hunter drop away. No other comes as close to the bisquit. I have shot over 250 times with this thing and it incredible. $33 plus shipping on ebay. I use this on a mathews with a G5 Optix XR and I am on the money at 65 yds.

Lots of mechanical parts on a Muzzy zero effect. Go with a trophy ridge or some other drop away that only uses a cord to raise the rest.

Just my own opinion I guess. Father in law used a zero effect for a year and got rid of it. He tried to give it to me and I declined....that's how much I thought of it.
