Got to handle a Sten Mark V
A friend stopped by yesterday and showed me his new toy. He acquired a mint WWII 9mm Sten Mark V. This model has a wooden stock and front sight quard like a No. 4 Mark I. I am really looking forward to shooting it. All the best...

Heavier than ya expect 'em to be aren't they?? Wish they were in almost any other caliber.

He showed ya his toy and ya didn't get to play with it...huh...reminds me of when I was 11 yrs old , her name was Cathy...oh never mind.

Gil,
While I never fired that model Sten, I shot lots of other 9mm subguns. For my money, I would rather have a 12 gauge and #4 Buckshot for a fight ender. Adam |
9MM Sub Gun
Although I carried a suppressed sub gun for a year or so..I agree with Adam!

That is a classic military arm. Let us know how it shoots. Take care...

Post some pictures of that Sten. I never saw a Mark V. Sounds interesting. Take care...

Cool! I have yet to see a Mk.V 'in the metal'. I have shot an original STEN Mk. III, and was impressed with the performance of the 'Plumber's Nightmare'. They are actually pretty accurate!
