National Ammo Day (week)

National Ammo Day
It's not exactly a call to arms, but it certainly is the next best thing. Everyone is being asked to purchase 100 rounds of ammunition this week (or if you're a reloader the equivalent). Helpfully, you don't have to get all your ammo at once: any purchase made this week "counts."

More importantly, if you cannot purchase ammo in your area, the site urges you to contact your local representative and complain.

GOB,

A timely post and before a year passes, I think we will need to "sign" for ammo purchases.

I hope I am wrong, but I think these were the "Good Old Days."

Bunker down.

I purchased 150 bullets for handloading several calibers last night. Does that count?

I got mine!

I've done my part.

Placed and order day before yesterday and got it last night (it was delivered and setting on my front porch when I got home.) 150 rnds of brand new Lake City 06 .223 match.

Looks like I'm going to have a hell of a good time.

Well Not a real yard sale

But I bought a Dillon 650..1000 rds of Starline 45 colt brass..1000 rds of 30-06 brass...900 bullets...10M primers 40 lbs of powder and a whole bunch of stuff from a guy the other day..Hopefully that'll count. Oh and the price WAS right. He even gave me a new box of 41 Mag ammo. Now I still have to find that 41. I REALLY need a 41 Mag Smith

GoodOlBoy 11-21-2008 02:48 PM

Yep I would say reloading stuff would count.

I bought 150 rounds of Lake City 223 60 grain HPs myself.

ah huh GOB....that is what I ask everyone that talks about all the guns they own...my first question is...' how much ammo do you have for each of those guns?.".....surprised looks ya get...I say the gun is worth crap if no ammo...

GoodOlBoy 11-25-2008 08:19 AM

Yep. I have a buddy that has a gun collection that makes my few look sick. He has less than a full box of ammo for most of them, and a few he doesn't have ammo for at all. Nice collection of clubs he has there.
