dawn dish washing liquid does a pretty good job my Brittanys have a habit of getting into trouble at least once a year in the back yard, skunk pee is oil based so the dawn liquid works quite well , some of the solutions available at petshops or feed stores work well also, some are pricey , but they work do not use lots of plain water that only spreads it you need something to break up the oil molecules that hold the scent from Pepe LePew

The cat food attracts the skunk I am sure you know. A friend here in the next town over from me had the same problem, so she puts her cat food on top of her water pump shed. The cats hop up easily, and the striped stinkers can't get to it and lose interest.

Heck Cat Food

Doesn't last more than 10 minutes here. Got more wild cats than I care to feed so am thinning the ranks appreciably lately..and if the cats leave any in the feed pan..the black and white crows(magpies) scarf up what might be left Skunks coons or whatever haven't got a chance
