Stephen F. Austin University's Web site issues a campus alert saying signs threatening a shooting were found on and off campus.

"The signs found on campus stated '4-16-09 A shooting will occur today and students will die,'" the site states at sfasu.edu.

Other signs were found off campus at the Grove apartment complex claiming 10 people would be shot and killed at "the grove."

The university alert states that while the messages are disturbing, there are no other indications of a threat, and that classes will continue as scheduled.

"Police patrols have been increased today. We ask that students, faculty and staff be vigilant and notify University Police immediately if they witness any unusual activity," the site stated.

I work for the campus Police.

Well, there just seems to be no end to the, sick butts wipes, out and about. Sure hope it is a prank, without any real action taken or required.

Sorry to hear that. Life is certainly a hit below the belt...

Don't mean to be the bearer of bad news, but luck seems to be getting worse these days. Or maybe we're all getting older and losing what few illusions we still maintained. Either way, not good.

i graduated from there a long

oh they caught the person turned out to be a girl who didn't finish a class project and wanted an excuse to get out of going to class that day. SHe didn't have a clue what she was doing to her life.
